memento1Christmas is...almost here. I got my presents sent away today (though I still have to buy one for my housemate, bah), and we FINALLY have a Christmas tree. I can't afford a proper tree, but I got a short little 3-footer and some decorations, so yay, we have a Christmas tree! It was just way too weird without one: no family, no snow (it's in the 70s here...hellooooo California), and it's not really home yet. I admit, it's been a pretty crappy Christmas thus far. But at least I have a tree. I named him Norbert. *L* Maybe because of the Harry Potter connection...I associate Harry Potter with Christmas-time as I first read the whole series by the light of the Christmas tree years ago.
And I'm already way over budget for the month. Though I did get my loan check today, so there's a bit of tuition paid back.
I'm almost done with "Memoirs of a Geisha" (great book), and can't wait to see it in the theater this weekend. Still need to see Narnia and the new Harry Potter...I've been waiting forever! I think that's it for now...I'm not in the best of moods, so I'll just leave it there. But Merry Christmas to you all! *mwah and big hugs to all of you*
