So it's been months since I posted any icons, and all I have to show for it is...10. That's enough for an icon post, yes? *L*

Rules: You know the basics. Please credit, please don't hotlink. Otherwise, the field is pretty much open. Edit them, add your own text, mangle them and place them on a wallpaper. Just please credit!
Resources: I'm notoriously bad at keeping track of resources. Most should be credited here, but I may be missing a few. A lot used caps from sj_everyday .

And for a bit of pimping, sg1podfic is now live! I've been thrilled about this idea since I heard of it, and I'm even trying to record one myself. Wish me luck (the first draft..needed help. *L*).

Lovely icons! I like...them all. I'm especially taken with 1, 2, 3, 4, 8, and 9. Very pretty Sams. :D #8 surprises me because normally I dislike those background lines. They usually overwhelm the image and look "amateur" but you've done an excellent use of them here. They look "right" and I really, really like what you did on the icon.

Nice text work and I love the soft coloring on your Sam numbers 1, 3, and 4.

And I know what you mean about the lines! I'm always hesitant using them to make them bold enough to be visible but subtle enough to not distract from the subjects. A lot like your use of radial blur - it serves its purpose while not overwhelming the icon.

And thank you for the compliment on text work! I consider text my downfall so I'm glad I managed to do well enough in this batch ;)

I'm so glad my comment about the lines made sense. After I posted that I thought, "you know, that could come across as somewhat insulting." I didn't mean to be but it was too late. I love the effect you got with them, which only goes to show nothing's totally bad but it's the application that matters.

Text is ALWAYS a crap shoot for me so I know what you mean by "downfall" but it conversely makes me more aware of skillful use. Well, and it makes me jealous. ;)
