So much news...

Playboy Bunnies ;) *LOL*

The backyard of the Playboy Mansion. We have lunch by the birds, and they were filming stock shots for The Girls Next Door in the yard, so I snapped a quick photo with my camera. You can just barely see them filming in the shadow of the big tree. The Hyacinth Macaw in the forground is Lady, a total sweetheart. You can see the flamingos and geese that roam about the yard. The grotto is off to the left.

I went shopping with Krista the other day and I was having way too much fun with this springy Santa hat I found in Claire's.

Random shot of a funny logo I saw on the back of a bus. ;)
And thus ends the picspam. My second day at the Mansion was much better than the first. Working without somebody watching over my shoulder was much more relaxing. It was a gorgeous day, I felt more comfortable with the other girls, and with meals giving us nice little breaks, the day seemed to go by quickly. I was surprised when I was finished with half an hour to spare! So, it wasn't that bad, and I'm actually kinda eager to go back again (see how long THAT lasts!). Worrying about securing a place to live before January and how I'm going to earn enough to get by, however, is leaving me on-again off-again panicked. For now, I'm going with getting any place I can get on short notice in Thousand Oaks, and seeing how much I can earn between Playboy and pet-sitting. If I can't earn enough, I'll just move back to Minnesota. There. Plan. Sort of.
Today was my day in the X-Files Advent Calendar, and while I'm fairly happy with my collage, I ran out of time to really finish it, and never figured out what text to put on it, so it looks horribly bare and unfinished. Bah.
So, my pet-sitting ends tomorrow, I'm staying with Krista through the weekend, and flying to Minnesota on Monday. I will have sporadic internet access probably for the rest of the month, so...I'll see you when I see you!
I just found out that today, my dear Sage was put to sleep. Sage was one of "the boys", the cougar brothers I took care of at Moorpark. I trained and preferred his brother Spirit, but it's still incredibly sad. I don't know yet what happened, but it's very unusual - he was young for a captive cat. I hope Spirit is okay. He's lived his whole life with his brother, and I think he'll be lonely alone, at least for a while. I'll miss seeing the two of them cuddled up together, the roar of two jet engines when they'd both start purring and clamoring for scratches. I'll miss you, boy.

I hope that everything works out for you and you get to stay.
Love the X-Files art.
Sorry to hear about the cougar. :(

Sounds like a fun day at the Mansion. :)
I hope you bought that cool hat. It's very Dr. Seuss.
If you want, I can check with the guy I used to live with in Simi Valley and see if his room is available for rent. It's just a room in a house, but he has three dogs, you get full use of the kitchen, you have to share a bathroom, and there's on-street parking and free laundry facilities in the garage. He was charging $500 a month last I checked, and that included all utilities plus cable tv and wireless internet.

I didn't buy the hat, though I did want it. ;) I can't really justify the expense of anything not strictly necessary at the moment.
That sounds perfect! Good price and just the kind of situation I'm looking for. I would really appreciate it. I called about a few places in Thousand Oaks but haven't heard back, and I'm afraid they've already been filled. :/
