Forgot to add - the animals in the movie were provided the Birds and Animals UK, the british division of the company I work for! I was just too thrilled by that.

Yeah, it was upsetting that Ron missed out on his chance to be the Weasley King of Quidditch and neither he nor Hermione got to bask in the glory of their prefectness. But they were constantly there, attempting to support Harry who just continually pushed him away. And what little time they had, they made great use of.
But you're right, flustered is a good description for the kind of floundering "but wait, what about...?" feeling.
