OK, I stopped doing my pictures from EATM thing a while ago before I could finish my favorite animals, so thus, here is my dear Salsa-bird.

Here's Salsa! He's a Catalina Macaw, which is a cross between a Scarlet Macaw and a Blue and Gold Macaw. Spending time with Salsa was the favorite part of my day and I'd try to bring him along while doing the rest of my duties at the zoo.

In the classroom. He LOVED the classroom. He even flew into someone trying to get in there once! *L*

In the lounge...that's my ratty old hoodie he ripped apart. He'd sit on the back of my chair while I worked and preen my hair or zipper. That or threaten people as they passed by ;)

In the office. Salsa liked to "talk" and would keep up a running commentary on everything.

He's so gorgeous. Isn't he so gorgeous?

Salsa and I during Spring Spectacular last March. We matched! Hehe.

This is the behavior I taught Salsa - karate kid. I was really proud of it ;)

Hehe. Salsa liked to take a bath in his tiny little water bowl, even though he had a big tub specifically for that purpose.
And of course, a video! Salsa loved to dance ;)
I miss my Salsa-bird so much!
In unrelated news, it's snowing up in the mountains north of here and the news is like "OMG, snow! Breaking news, people, it's SNOWING! Close down the highway, the snowplows need to get through!!" *snork*
