memento1WTF, dude? I just saw a commercial for "London-style Fish & Fries". Excuse me, what? What is the point of having fish and chips if you're not going to CALL it fish and chips? And now I miss Rose (*LOL*, sorry, one-track brain).
Obviously, I am alive! Sorry for not updating sooner. Had a good new year, flew back to CA on the first, found a new place to live in Thousand Oaks, moved in, and started work again. My new place is nice. It's a large room for a good price, complete with private bathroom, wireless internet, and DirectTV (DirectTV! Which means BBC AMERICA!! Yes, yes, one track mind. But that also means I can watch The Catherine Tate Show which is awesome because I've been wanting to check that out). The people are nice too. A quiet engaged couple about my age. Oh, and the house is very close to the freeway but up on a hill overlooking the city. There's a nice backyard and a library just down the street. Very nice. So at least one thing has gone right. I still miss home, though. Things aren't too bad, but I think I may be falling into those post-Christmas blues.
Oh, and I promised a picture of the fuzzy slippers, so here they are.
They're very comfy. I love wearing them around the house.
Before I left Minnesota, my mom and I got up to The Girl in the Fireplace in Doctor Who. I REALLY enjoyed watching the whole first season again. Fell in love with Nine all over again. Father's Day made me cry. The Empty Child/Doctor Dances was just as creepy and funny the second time. The gas masks! Are you my mummy! Haaaa. And then the splendor of The Christmas Invasion. I just love that episode. So much. The Lion King speech is the best thing ever. I really wanted to get up to Doomsday, but I guess that'll have to wait until next time. I may have to continue watching on my own, though. Hee!
I feel I had a lot more I was going to write about, but now it's all slipped my mind. So we'll see if it slips back in again soon. How have you all been?
