Sites, snow, and dogs
Dec. 1st, 2004 01:35 pmWith the coming of a new month, Aurora came back on-line and I was ready and waiting. I set up an external stats program (Nedstat) while it was down, and throughout the day I've been checking the referral list to see where my visitors come from. This only confirmed my concern. Almost every single hit came from brush links. This explains why my bandwidth goes so fast - people come to my site for brushes, and use up a lot of bandwidth downloading them. This is very flattering, of course, that my brushes are so popular, but it leaves me in a tough position. I love that people are downloading and using my brushes, and I don't want to take them down, but what else can I do? One option is to leave only a few brush sets up, and rotate them periodically. I don't like the idea, but it's the best I can come up with.
Maybe this will be fixed for me. Apparently pinch-me will be moving to a new server soon, with a new address. When that happens, most links to my site will be broken, and I'll get less visitors. Sucks that that's actually a good thing.
In less frustrating news, it's snowing! Small flakes that barely accumulate, but there it is. When it's this cold, might as well have the snow. I'm continuing my "holidays are coming" icon set - finished Sam yesterday and thinking of starting either Daniel or Teal'c next (or Hammond, *snork*).

I'm off to work with this week's Dog of the Week. Her name is P.J., and I've just fallen in love with her. Happens every year - at least one dog steals my heart.
