Meme, LA Zoo, and amusement!

Well that was fun. Okay, so Labor Day I went to the LA Zoo with some friends. One of the keepers there works at our zoo on weekends (and is a graduate of the program), so we got in free and received a behind-the-scenes tour of her string of animals. We got to pet the Tapirs (eeeee!), took some pictures of a snow leopard from across a fence, and viewed 2 baby Sumatran tigers that haven't even been out on exhibit yet (while mom growled ferociously at us). It was thrilling. After that, we just took our time touring the rest of the zoo, which is amazing because it has all sorts of animals I've never seen before. It was a great day! We may head down to the Anaheim Reptile Show this weekend if all works out. Have I mentioned yet how much I love it here? ;)
