So Bob Bailey DID show up today after zoo closing, and we got our presentation. I was northing short of a ridiculously excited fangirl. I took NOTES, for goodness sakes. I think I was the only one who did. Anyways, that was cool. He was quite a nice guy, too.
In animal assignments, things are going well. I am allowed to scratch Julietta and give seeds to Salsa, so in my free time at the zoo I stop by to hang out with the pair of them, and it's been great for our relationship. Julietta especially is so cute - she just adores being scratched around the head and neck, so when you do she closes her eyes and almost fall asleep standing up, with her head resting against the fence. So cute! I also got to ask Goblin for behaviors today, and that was interesting. She half-heartedly complied until she realized who I was and that I was asking HER for behaviors and then she started threatening me (eye-flashing and baring her teeth). She continued threatening me for the rest of the session, but she never once actually screamed, so it wasn't too bad. She's screamed at all her other new trainers. *L* Obviously this will be a long process, but I'm excited to see it improve with time.
"The Cold" is baaaaad. The last three nights I've gone to bed late rewatching it, and I can't afford to be low on sleep with Spring Spectacular coming up this weekend! That's our BIG zoo show and fundraiser the next 3 weekends, where I'll have to be there 6 AM - 6 PM, so I need my sleep! I should go to bed now (SO not gonna happen). *sigh* Where are those Girl Scout cookies? $4 a box, people! That little kid ripped me off *L*
