Kill me now

So, my car is dying. It's been dying for a while now but I fear it may be on its last legs. And it is the WORST time for me to go buying a new car. I just spent a lot buying a plane ticket to Minnesota for a wedding in July, so while my finances are stable, they're not great. My mom offered to help me with a downpayment on a Prius (my dream car), but with gas prices recently, the prices on Prii have sky-rocketed. Any decent Prius is going for around $30,000, which is more than my annual salary. I'd still be tempted except my job ends in September and who knows when I'll find a job after that, or what it will pay.

So I'm left poking around on Craigslist and Autotrader for any good mileage car that half-catches my eye, and I'm stuck between not wanting any of them yet having thousands of options and I don't know what to do. I'm worrying myself sick over this.

Blah. Sorry for the downer. I just feel like I'm going slightly crazy with all this running around in my head and no end in sight.
