Well this is interesting. I e-mailed my old boss (from pet-sitting in LA) just to see how things have been, and she was wondering if I could cover the business while she goes on her honeymoon in October. I covered while she went on a 3-week vacation last year, and it was the most stressful thing ever, so it wouldn't be fun, but it's great money and I could visit all my old friends up there (that was the worst tense-shift sentence ever). So YAY for having some work on the horizon.
This makes me feel better about...not having applied for anything the last few days. In my defense, the internet was down the past day, but it's more the horrors of writing cover letters that has been holding me back.
Fandom-wise, I'm being pulled three ways. In the past few days I've read X-Files, Doctor Who, AND West Wing fic. I'm hopeless. (But OMG Doomsday broke my HEART. I miss Rose, I miss Rose, I miss Rose. On the one hand, heart-wrenching, gut-twisting shippiness. On the other, I desperately want more! A few eps in season 4 isn't gonna be enough, and I so wish I could have another season of Ten/Rose).
