Is there anything better than 2 hours of new Stargate on a Friday night? Heee!
SG-1 was interesting. They've GOTTA stop the forced UST, though. It just ain't the same. It seemed like a kinda slow episode, too, but, ya know, 2 Carters! hehe. I am very amused by 2 Carters. Oh, and where WAS Daniel this episode? Was it that MS was preparing for Prometheus Unbound? I'll go with that. In any case...yes, I found it a bit unbelievable that Replicarter would gun down Daniel without a thought but have a big moral dilemma about shooting Jack. I mean, I like my ship, but they're obviously just yanking our chain (like they've been doing all this year and last). And just because it was fake doesn't refute that.
Oy. Beyond that...I kinda wanted to see Thor ;) Just having him as a plot device was kinda cheap. OK...must say something good about this episode...really, I did enjoy it. Just not NEARLY as much as Atlantis. And on that note...
Whoa. That was great TV. Some stellar performances by several of the cast (McKay and Sheppard stand out in my mind), great action, intrigue, and your good old fashioned creeping-along-hallways-with-a-big-gun routine. If anything detracted from it, I'd say it was the catfight. And no, I will not change my term for it. That was a catfight. Other than that, wonderful. It kept my adrenaline pumping the whole hour ;) That's something I wish SG-1 could still do. TPTB obviously haven't lost their stuff. Why isn't it showing up in SG-1?
And for the good 'ol Weir/Sheppard fans on my list, I can see why this episode really does it for ya. Still somehow doesn't do much for me, but I do see why a shipper would like it! If you had to classify me as an Atlantis fan, I'd fall under "Gen". But I am just fine with that ;)
*snooork* OK, second viewing. SG-1 squeeage: Sam in a tank top! v. pretty. Sam/Daniel friendship. Awwww. Walter! hee. "Receiving text message." Oh, got your cell phone there with ya, Walter? Tsk tsk. I kinda feel bad for Fifth again. Dang them! They play me like an acordian. First I love him, then I hate him, now I love him again. Oh well. Think this counts under the Black Widow Curse? *L*
