sg1_showdown and I forgot to enter it. Well, OK, I thought the text was crap and wanted to work on it, and forgot I didn't HAVE time to work on it. I have an inability to make text look right. Gah. I've been a one-fandom girl for a while. X-Files, then Stargate. That's it. There's other shows I watch, but not with the same excitement. Now I'm being pulled into 2. Recently my on-going fling with CSI has grown a bit...now I actively search it out instead of just watching when I catch it. And just last week, a friend got me to watch The West Wing with her...now I'm watching the Monday night marathon. We'll see where this all leads. I don't forsee myself getting too involved, but it is giving me more to squee over.
Oh, and in case you were wondering, of course I'm falling for the normal, het, average pairings. *sigh* I have a weakness for cannon. I'm just not hip ;)
Have finished my big senior project rough draft AND done my last public speaking event (a tour) today. It's a good day! By next week the project will be out of the way and then ooooooh, so excited, I'm visiting Wolf Park! I've missed the place so incredibly much, and I'm so excited about visiting again. There is a lot to look forward to. Plus I'm LOVING daylight savings time. It stays lighter later, the sun is out and it is gorgeous. Sunlight has an amazing ability to make me happy.
World War II was TOUGH. We had a lecture today in History of World Civilization Since 1500, and covered World War 2. I knew most of it before...all the holocaust stuff, the atomic bombs, the millions and millions killed. I knew it all...but to sit down and have it all repeated to me in under an hour...it was powerful. It's hard to imagine.
