Alive! Really!

memento1I just cannot keep up with LJ. For the past week, at least, I've stayed stuck at skip=75-100, which is several days behind. Although the past week has been one big hell-in-a-handbasket and next week is Spring Break so finally sanity may have a chance to return! Of course I still need to go in every day for shows, feeding, and the like, but no sit-down lecture classes! JOY! Also we open at 8, which will be an amazing blessing. Have been so short on sleep lately.
Fun stuff everyday. Today we ran the emu down the road, which was so much fun. I must do that more often! Also watched a Goblin grooming session, and I must say, she's starting to grow on me. Things weren't going well with her for a while and I was starting to wonder why I asked for her, but our relationship is improving greatly and her little quirks and mannerisms are starting to grow on me. Double yay!
We also got a presentation by the Vice President of Animal Behavior College, a dog trainer certification company, who came there actively recruiting for jobs, and I never wished so much I was done with this program. How awesome would it be to work there? She brought her amazing German Shephard, Champ, and I was head over heels. I just can't believe how many job opportunities are opening up for me. The jobs I've always wanted actually exist, and I have a fighting chance at them! That's a great feeling.
And then there was The West Wing. OK, so it's not really a trainwreck, but it has me oddly fascinated in just that way.

josh_and_donna phrased it thus, and I must say I agree. I'm taking it as the breadcrumb TPTB meant it to be, but what happened? No touching, no kissing, a *fling*?!? Very bad choice of words there, writers. It set the tone for the whole thing and that just throws a wrench in the works. Not that I didn't enjoy the heck out of the cuteness, and the humor, and the whole scene on the roof, but, really, waaaaay too much awkwardness. It made me sit boggling at Donna's comments, although Josh tried so darn hard it hurt. A for effort, little guy! I don't know what was up with her either.
Not to say that I didn't enjoy the episode. I didn't have the highest expectations going in, so I've been enjoying it. And I cannot wait for the upcoming episodes! SQUEE!
