I went on a trip to Portland for a week to visit some friends. Had a fabulous time, and immediately upon returning finished my move to Simi Valley to live with my friend and her family (for reduced rent). Being as my pet-sitting boss is back from vacation and I no longer work at Universal, I now just work 2 days a week. There haven't been any long-term jobs I've been interested in, but today I found a fabulous short-term job. The LA Zoo is hiring reindeer keepers to care for 4 reindeer over the holidays and supervise their interactions with the public. I would LOVE this job. It's caring for exotic animals AND interacting with the public, which is what I want to do.
BUT, the job starts Novermber 18. Novermber 15-24 I'm going to Mexico for my cousin's wedding. I debated for a long time whether I should go, and it would kill me if I didn't get this dream job because of a wedding! Ugh. Every time I read the job posting I want the job more and more. It sounds like so much fun. So, we'll see what happens.
