Because everyone likes their picspam on the run, right? ;)

This is Najla, the eagle owl I keep going on about. A really bad pic (taken with my phone while she was eating and thus moving her head), but the only one I have so far.

Pele painting. Pele is our blue and gold macaw, and he's quite an excellent painter. He gets so into it.

Nilda! The prehensile-tailed porcupine (who is ADORABLE but sleeps away the day and is indignation personified when woken).

This is our stage lawn, with the stage up front. It was taken about a month ago - the trees are all green now, and the set has been improved and finished, with a fold-in thrust up front and a big Wild Life Live sign above.

Haha! Ummm, the Conservation Division made a volunteer appreciation video set to "Mamma Mia", and they put me in this get-up. I have never worn heels that high in my LIFE. I actually fell over at one point. It was quite amusing.

Other things making me happy:

IS HE NOT THE CUTEST THING EVER?!?

Just narrowly beating out the continuing adorableness of Booth/Bones. How do they do it? The awesome cuteness of this couple cannot be contained! The ending of "The Beaver in the Otter" was adorably cute (or some other combination of "adorable" and "cute", as I seem to be unable to come up with any other words to describe them) and the promo for "The Critic in the Cabernet" looks like there's a lot of potential for fun. And shippiness. Which is fun. Wheeee!

I think I may be coming down with something. Nose is sniffly. Gah!

It totally amazes me that that bird can paint, lol. I've never heard of anything like that.

The heels on those boots are so high! I would *definitely* fall over.

*LOL* I was quite impressed too, even knowing how intelligent parrots are. I'll have to upload video.

*G* Isn't it? The weather has been much better than it started out recently. It still rains a lot, but we've had quite a few gorgeous sunny days, too.

OMG, Najla looks awesome! Yeah, the pic is blurry, but it kinda makes it look likes she's about to jump out at ya. :-) She looks like she has a little bit of attitude.

Wow, Pele looks awesome! He looks like he's having a lot of fun with that paintbrush, too, lol. Do you have to put the paint on it for him, or does he do that himself?

I love prehensile-tailed porcupines, but man, they smell like dirty sweat socks! (I got to hold one when I interned at Wild Things.) Cute, but stinky. Like men.

Ooh la la, memento1! Dang. I can't even walk in tiny heels. I am impressed. You should always send this photo to guys you're interested in. :-P hee, hee

*LOL* She does have a bit of attitude at times, but mostly she's very...owly. As in spaced out. *L*

They put paint on the brush, he picks it up from the paint bowl, paints, and places it back in the paint bowl when cued. I have some video of it I should upload - it's really quite impressive!

*LOL*! I haven't noticed Nilda stinking too much, except she superstitiously learned to pee in her crate which does make it a bit stinky.

Ha! I never wear heels at all if I can avoid it, so it's false advertisement. And obviously I can't walk in them either, as I DID fall over! Hehe.

Oh yeah, I read that part where you said you fell. I guess what I was really trying to say was that there would be nothing on this earth that could get me to wear heels like that, much less stand up in them, much less walk even a single step with them!, and I give you mucho props for having the courage to do so and the balance to make it in the end, and the good grace to fall so the rest of us wouldn't look so bad in the event we were to ever find ourselves in your situation. ;-)
