I caught the cold that was going around at work. Blah. Sore throat, congested, sneezing like crazy. So I sat around and watched TV all day. I watched the Bones I recorded last night (and heeeeeee, it was good), and then I watched When Harry Met Sally, because I was in the mood for a cheesy chick flick. Actually I really wanted to watch Groundhog Day, but I don't own it and that's what was available.
So. The Critic in the Cabernet was really good, although a total XF rip-off. *L* I mean, they've been open about the commonality since the beginning, but this was hilarious. I mean, lead female asks lead male to father her child (and not by sleeping together). AND, main character is diagnosed with a brain tumor which causes angst for all. I mean the moment "tumor" was out of her mouth I almost laughed. Really? Really, Bones? You're going to so blattantly copy your inspiration? Hehe. That aside, it actually was really, really cute and really, really shippy. But they could have done so much more with it. Give Booth a brain tumor 5 minutes before end of episode, end with him going into surgery, immediately cut to promo of next week's episode with them out and about having fun on a case. Seriously, illness could be SUCH a great character arc, not a throw-away event to give a single episode some angst. Anyways, I'm not complaining. It was SO shippy. I just wish they would drag it out a little. And with that promo....HOOboy. Really? Really?!? I'm half ridiculously excited and half anxious of how they'd possibly proceed from there. Impress me, Bones. I know you can.
So now I'm going to go watch some 3rd Rock, try to go to bed at a reasonable hour, and hope I've kicked this cold by tomorrow. I have to work the next 5 days.

Date: 2009-05-09 04:00 am (UTC)I'm about two episodes behind in Bones. It records upstairs, and that TV is a lot smaller...harder for me to see clearly at the moment. :-(
