Aloha from...Oregon.

Well, I am here! The weather was fantastic yesterday so I made the long drive over the mountains. And it was very, very long. But I made it in one piece and I start work tomorrow! I spent today unpacking and securing an internet connection (although my T-Mobile coverage is horrendous - I have to stand by the window to get any coverage at all and even then it cuts in and out. I still have a YEAR on my contract, too). I'm really excited for work, though.

Anyways, enough boring real-life stuff. Back to fandom. I missed House, but Idol was fun. Danny is taking this whole competition, I tell you. I thought his performance was FLAWLESS. Some of the others were quite good as well. But I didn't understand the big deal with Adam, and Megan desperately needs to go home. Well, we'll see in 10 minutes.

This is amusing - my friend's grandma has hip replacement surgery, and her surgeon's name was Doctor Turk. I shit you not. I about died laughing.

I watched an episode of The Girls Next Door tonight, and I miss it. I miss it bad. The girls were making a work-out video in the backyard (that big, beautiful, green backyard, that most days was ours and ours alone) and you could see the white peacocks and cranes in the backgound, and Holly went to visit Coco, and I miss it. I miss all the animals and the people and the food and that gorgeous backyard. I wish I hadn't had to give that up.
