My college is so cool.

I was just walking across campus to go get dinner, and I noticed some of the trees running along the path on the way there were decorated with snow. The trunks of 5 pine trees had snow fastened to them in unique configurations. One had polka dot clumps of snow, one had a grid pattern, one had lines of snow running up, and one had a long trail of snow that twisted around the trunk for a full 7 feet. It was quite interesting to see, and made me smile. If they're not melted by tomorrow I'll try to take a picture.
Other news, other news...oh yes. I was considering graduating after one semester next year, but now I'm pretty set on staying the whole year. I only have to finish 3 more courses to graduate, so as is I will be taking some "fun" classes to fill in the time, but I just have to stay until Spring. The Biology department is running a Marine Biology trip to Honduras May 2005, that includes tons of scuba diving and snorkeling, and even swimming with dolphins. Yup. I love scuba diving, and snorkelling, and I'm in college for animal behavior so observing dolphins actually has to do with my major. I'm already SCUBA certified, and I'll be a senior, so I'm almost certain to get in. And it's $2600, which after Australia's $4000, is small potatoes. I so have to go on this trip. *drool*
OK, OK, back to more present matters. Inauguration was...eh. A clip show. Boooooring. The president's pretty cool, though. I like that actor. Ship mention...WTF?!? They're not even trying anymore, are they? Feels like they just threw that in there to please the shippers. Well, it didn't. Not this shipper, anyway. Regardless, I immediately recorded over it with "Fallen", which I hadn't seen yet, and was much more interesting. Daniel calling Jack "Jim"...*snort*.
Oh! And I made art! Real art, not just icons. Well, I've been doing a few things recently, but this is really back to my collaging roots. It's a wallpaper! What's more, an X-Files wallpaper! Got inspired, played around. I forgot how wonderful it is to get caught up in the craft, the challenge and fun of creating. I don't do it enough anymore. Well, here it is:

Oh, and I'm a bit behind in doing this, but it's such a cool idea. It's possibly a bit outdated, too. Friends of friends!
