I've been seriously SCREWED over by the Registrars office. Again. I'm a senior this year. As such, I get to register the very first day, before all the underclassmen, and thus I FINALLY get first choice at classes. I've been trying to get into Dogsledding for the last 3 years, and finally this year I have the undisputed right. Today was the first day of registration, and the on-line registration system goes up at midnight. I planned for that and signed on at 12:15 to sign up. My other 3 class registrations go through, but for Dogsledding, I get an error. "Status rules not defined for part of term". Ah, probably because it's only a half-term class and they put it in wrong. So I tried again, just for good measure, but got the same result and decided I'd point this out to them today and get signed on. After my classes ended at 12:30, I headed over to the Registrar's office to ask them what's up. They say the error was fixed this morning at 8:30 and oh, by the way, the class is filled now. W.T.F. I just stared at the lady for a few seconds, dumbfounded. So because of THEIR error, I don't get in. Again (if any of you were here last year, almost the exact same thing happened). But, she says, the Monday Dogsledding class has a few openings available. In a panic, I try to find a computer to sign up for it. It interferes with 2 other classes I've signed up for, but there's no way in hell I'm letting this opportunity escape. I drop 2 of my 3 other classes and add on Dogsledding. I had to drop Intro to Astronomy, which I was really looking forward to, and, more importantly, my required Senior Capstone. I spent the next 3 hours talking to my professor, trying to work out how to save my mangled schedule, and waiting pointlessly for different professors who could help me. None of them ever showed up, and now everyone's gone home, so even though there's a chance I could work this all out semi-cohesively, I can't even get started on doing it before tomorrow. So I'm left to sit and worry and stew over how this fucking school has screwed me over again through an error of their own fault. *sigh* So I'm left impotently ranting about it on my LJ. Sorry about that, guys, but that just had to get out. Back to sunny and happy and bright in a few days.

Thanky! *hugs back* Yeah, they screwed me over. I am working it out, but it's not at all desirable. *sigh* I should just look on the bright side...at least I'm in the class!
