Probably didn't even know I was gone, right? I spent 3 days at a friends'. Said friend I have known since my first week of college 3 and a half years ago, and he spent one summer living at home with me and the family, because he got a great paying job near my town. He's like a brother to me, and he just got engaged over break. He held a bonfire at his family's house Thursday, and as his house is a lot closer to college than mine, I just stayed there until the forms opened today. Had a wonderful time. His family is like my second family...had some great home-cooked meals, played way too much cards and darts and ping-pong, and I slept on their cumfy couch near the fireplace. I'll miss it.
Anyways, I'm back in my dorm now, rejoicing at the return of CABLE and fast internet, but freezing because I don't think the heating has quite caught up with the freezing temps yet. Oh, and yes, Vikings are kicking the Packer's @SS which makes me quite the happy girl ;) I don't even like american football, but there's no way a Minnesotan can not squee over that.
Oh, yes, I am here for classes, but I found out today they don't start until Wednesday, instead of Tuesday like I thought. So I will have to find ways to amuse myself for the next two days. As there are very few people here yet, expect me to be on-line a lot ;) I am quite looking forward to classes, though. This my last semester, so they are all classes I want to take. Public Speaking, a History course with a professor I love to bits, Intro to Astronomy, and DOGSLEDDING, yo. Yes, as a physical education class. I also have Dog of the Week and Senior Capstone, but those are not so much classes as...projects. I can't believe I'm graduating in May. I need to find a job for the summer near home, as I will be watching the house and pets while the family spends 2 months in Mexico. A REAL job, in my chosen career path. It's kinda scary.
ETA: Squeeeee! Forgot how much I *LOVE* The Mummy. Brendan Frasier is criminally hot. And I have a fascination with those type of characters. Ya know...the sarcastic, rough, but sweet and heroic types. Rick O'Connell, Jack O'Neill, Han Solo. That's the type I fall for.
