I'm alive!

Just a quick update. Yes, this is the first I've been on-line since my last update, and not really much change. Still no job, no internet (and the library isn't open nearly enough!), and computer problems. BUT, have made headway on the computer front. I was desperate as it had my resume in it. Had to reinstall Windows ME...had an error and it wouldn't finish. Turns out it was Windows Media Player 9 interfering, but a college friend was so helpful and helped me fix it over the phone (Best Buy's GeekSquad wanted $120 to do the same thing! Never going to them again). So my computer is back up and running, though with problems. The display driver is broken, Symantec crashed and burned, and I can't use Excel, Powerpoint, or Frontpage anymore (which I copied off a friend years ago and no longer have the disk). BUT it works. And I can listen to music and read fanfic and I love it.

Have been spending a lot of time reading (Star Wars novels, yay!), doing some spring cleaning, and yes, watching West Wing (my savior!). Really getting desperate for a job, though. Well, I know there's more to say but my hour is just about up. I miss you all terribly...I wish I could send you all messages and read what you've been up to. I hope you are enjoying your summer!

You have Windows ME? Wow.... You poor thing. It's is the most unstable Windows version there is :/ No wonder you have so many problems.

*LOL* Yes, thank you, trust me I know THAT. I just don't have the memory or hard drive space to upgrade at this time. It's on my list of things-to-buy-once-I-have-a-job.
