Life has been going! Pretty well, too, though my room doesn't get enough light and I get rather bored at home. But this week in classes (the first week of them), we got to walk an emu and a miniature horse, tie off a great horned owl, and hold various reptiles and such (including some big-@ss boas and cockroaches ;) ). I've had to get up before 6 AM for several days, and as a result I crashed halfway through SciFi Friday last night. But I'm loving every minute of it.
So I made a fool of myself at the gas station the other day. First I didn't get that you have to pay before you pump, and then I couldn't figure out which was the regular pump, and then this strange rubber thing that holds it in place baffled me until I accidentally canceled the sale, so I had to re-pay and the guy pumped my gas for me. Ugh, I felt like an idiot. Plus, I overpayed. It was 20 cents cheaper at the other place a block away, but I didn't realize that because in Northern Wisconsin, there's a law that every gas station in the county has to offer the same price. Gas is way more expensive out here anyway. In Minnesota it was about 2.26 a gallon when I left. Here it shifts between 2.65 and 2.93 (what I payed the other day, gah!). But I've always said I won't complain about gas prices until it's more expensive than bottled water ;)
My two rats are making strides. Raja still tries to bite, and both are still rather afraid of me, but they're getting better and I can touch them to a certain extent now. It's a long road ahead!

*giggles* *pats you* Don't worry about the gas thing. You'll get used to it! And I'm surprised at that, that all gas stations in your county have to be the same price! Wow! That's so weird. *boggles*
