Today was Lounge-around-in-my-PJs Day, which was so nice after yesterday. I had to go in to work an hour later than usual, which put me smack-dab in the middle of the worst of LA traffic. It took me 2 hours to go the 37 miles in to work. Ugh. Anyways, lots of interesting TV this week.

House...was forgettable. What happened? Oh, that's right, Foreteen drama. Snoooore. Idol is always fun, but this stage of the competition is my least favorite, with all the drama. Group night in particular is painful. Oh, but the really nerdy guy with the hilarious routine? AWESOME. He's not the best singer, but MAN has he got stage presence. I'm also starting to pick out a few favorites...like Danny and that one kid from Hollywood with the crazy hair. What next? Lost! Ummmm...[livejournal.com profile] duva, you've been a bad influence. Now I can't stand the Jack/Kate storyline. Of course, the Jack/Sawyer/Kate love triangle got old a long time ago. Seriously, just stop it. But what really pissed me off was they had an entire episode about the Oceanic Six and only showed Hurley once. Moar Hurley, please. Bones...oh, Bones. They know how to play me like a violin. Let's just say I loved the Corporal Parker guy. He was a great character.

You're stranded on a desert island. The upside? You have a fancy solar-powered iPod that can play video. The downside? You can only choose five episodes (maximum of one hour in length) from five different TV shows.

There are rules: choosing an episode that's only a half-hour long doesn't allow you any more room, and you can't give up one show to make room for a two-parter from another. You have to choose five different shows, and you're only allowed one episode from each.

1. X-Files, "Bad Blood". This was hella hard, but when it comes down to it, this episode never, ever, ever gets old.

2. West Wing, "17 People". This was West Wing running on all 4 cylinders. Ship, humor, angst, and that powerful ending only West Wing could do.

3. Doctor Who, "Doomsday"? Ergh. I want to pick a feel-good episode like "The Satan Pit" or a brilliant one like "Midnight", but the truth is I think "Doomsday" is the most powerful episode, so...yeah. The last 10 minutes kills me dead, plus it has the 3-D glasses, so it's not all blubbering despair and heartbreak.

4. Stargate SG-1, "Window of Opportunity". Pure genius. Humor, ship, AND an interesting storyline.

5. Going way out on a limb, Whose Line Is It Anyway?, Episode 2x22. Nothing can make me laugh like this show. Almost any episode would do, but since I have to pick one, this one has this gem.

Aaaaaand, I haven't been able to keep up with the flist lately. What's up?

House came up with that. Last week's episode, I think. :) I had to rewind it on my Tivo before I figured it out. :P
